Nearly time for Little Yellow Flowers again-
-
jb7Participant
What more can I say-
bring on the summer-Edit-
I’ve just been back to this one,
and noticed I’d uploaded a .png for some reason-anyway, this one is closer to the print-
RobMemberImmaculate composition and love dof – splendid isolation
of the subject. Would I change anything, hmm, perhaps
a tiny boost in contrast just to give it a little zing…
Gorgeous simple image.Rob.
PeteTheBlokeMemberNice. Better than many other yellow flower shots.
No EXIF data that I can see – I trust it’s from this year
and that you’re not trying to
pull a fast one?!jb7ParticipantThanks Rob,
I see what you’re saying about the contrast,
it is there on the print,
but its in the detail,
and doesn’t come across well here-As Usual.
One of the joys of photography,
for me at least,
is the isolation of small areas of detail-
and until we all have monitors the size of the wall,
the only way that is going to come across is by using the 100% crop. There are other joys, of course-
Here’s a little detail at at least 100%,
I’ve enlarged this one to print at A3+This was taken on the 18-200,
only adequate for this range really-Edit-
Pete, just seen your post-
No, not from this year, last-
Haven’t seen any around yet,
but its really not the kind of thing that gets reported-
First dandelion of the season-Just thought I’d get a sly fast one in-
Thanks for the comment
(interrogation):D
PeteTheBlokeMemberYes. I had a feeling it was Sonchus arvensis which doesn’t flower till about July or August.
The blobs on the hairs are a giveaway. http://plants.irishbogs.com/photo.php?photo_id=31
You’ll have to get up earlier my boy :)
jb7ParticipantCool shot Pete,
much more macro-ey (not in dictionary)
than mine-Good link too-
and thanks for the taxonomy,
I’ll never forget that its a perennial cow thingy-j
Noely FParticipantA different slant on a common subject executed perfectly, I like this a lot
jb7ParticipantNoely FParticipant“Maestro” indeed :D I just point and click…..and sometimes it works
