Also from Clogherhead today. Took this one from the top of the head,
looking out East of the harbour. I think it’s some kind of bird, but I’ll check
with Pete the Bloke before I confirm that…

    Yeah. A bird for sure.

I’m not overly keen on this photo, though. Sorry Rob. It’s just lacking a certain something. Perhaps the bird needs to be a bit clearer, or the sky needs some shepp (Derry for shape) or some clouds, or the bird needs to be less central or perhaps all of the above.

Pete nailed it for me. It needs something other than the bird to make a long distance shot like this work for me. I think it’s slightly leaving the shot too.

    Sorry, Rob.

Cheers lads. I know what you mean. Still, I kind of like it just for the hell
of it, though I do wish myself that I’d gotten the bird a little sharper…

Very nice Rob – this reminds me of one of Ciaran’s shots (if i can find it). Odd positioning in the frame, but that said, i like it.

    Found it :): https://www.photographyireland.net/viewtopic.php?t=290

Had the bird been larger and positioned differently, it would have been better

Reminds you perhaps, but no real comparison there. I remember Ciaran’s shot well and
mine is nowhere close in quality or sharpness. Still, at least it reminded you…

    Rob.
