One from this morning…
-
RodcunhaParticipant
With the weather frorecasts saying it would be a foggy morning I thought of heading off to the forest park near Carlow/Stradbally and see what would happen… this is one from this morning that I quite liked…
PeteTheBlokeMemberLovely image Rod. I like the composition and the Velvia-like tones. I find the bench a bit jarring, but maybe if it wasn’t there I’d be saying, “This shot needs a nice bench”.
What’s the difference between mist and fog?

I think mist comes up from the ground and fog comes down from the sky, that
is my understanding of it anyway.Nice shot by the way, I like the colour of the trees and the bench is fine! :)

I asked because my son asked me the other day. I told him much the same as you told me, but when I tried to elaborate I got totally tied in knots!
ExpresbroParticipantAbsolutely gorgeous shot Rod. Love the way the light is slowly encroaching on the shadow along the path. Colours are fabulous..very rich tones.
You really have these sort of shots down to a tee my friend. Can almost hear the wood pigeons whooping in this shot… :D
seanmcfotoMemberRodcunhaParticipantThanks very much for the kind words guys, I was pretty pleased with this one myself although it wasn’t quite this shot that I had in mind when I got up there this morning…
Happy Easter everyone!
Regards,
Rod
KiltubberParticipantAmazing shot Rod… colours are great, is it HDR, if so, how many exposures did you use. I am trying to figure out this HDR stuff myself at the moment.
Thanks for posting,
JohnRodcunhaParticipantKiltubber,
Thanks for your comments, yes this is a HDR image made from 5 exposures, the image was then dessaturated in some parts to get rid of a awful blue cast.
I’ve just been told that this image is front page of explore in the flickr webpage, my first one!
here is the screen capture!ExpresbroParticipantRod ya Boy ya !!Well done…that’s really cool. They don’t leave ’em up there long though ..just checked…missed it.
:D
RodcunhaParticipantI think they don’t like the borders with references to other websites, at least that’s what I was told…
They also float a lot, now its there, in 5 minutes isn’t but in 10 will be again and so on…

John DunneParticipantRobMemberBeautiful image Rod. I love the way you’ve brought out those green
mosses on the trees, really makes the image pop. Nice work yet again…
You’ll have to start sharing some of your post-processing tips.Rob.
Robert55MemberValentiaMemberSumptuous. Well done.
You need to refresh the Flickr page. The picture keeps changing.
