I would appreciate your comments on this one, is it better/worse
than previous effort, would like to know if I am going in the right
direction :)

you can relax :) :)BTW, I think this is a common carder bee. Does anyone know? Bees are my latest fascination.

I like the second one also. I think it’s MUCH better. Composition is more pleasing and, as jb mentioned, the bee is no longer in the shade. THe color saturation is also better, esp. on the bee himself. Great second attempt, Shutterbug.

Sorry Shutterbug, someone just told me that what I call a bumblebee is what you call a carder bee! So, carder bee it is :DLovely image, the bee is a bit dark but if you expose him more you’ll probably blow the blossoms,unless you mask him and give him a little more light :wink:
Thanks again Noely, I played around with the light for
ages on this one and this was about as good as I could
manage, not great at processing but getting better :)I have an awful habit of overcooking images, at least you know when to stop :lol:
