2 macro shots using new olympus SP 550 UZ

heres two macro shots i took. please be gentle as im new to this. relaxing from the BBC you know.

this screw is half inch long.
this was taken with the lens resting on the table beside the coin..20 mm away !
notice the hair?Is that the new Olympus camera with the massive zoom range? If so, it looks as if it is very capable at macro as well as long range stuff.
that bit of fluff on the coin is a bit distracting. the depth of field on the nail is great though. Nice and sharp on both of em.

Though I feel the subject is not the bestthanks guys..i know the subject was not the best but these items were both in my pocket at the time so i used them.
what do you think of this spanish plant?
Is that the one known as the bottlebrush plant?
I’d prefer sharp flowers and soft leaves.havent a clue p&s..just liked the look of it.
I must have had the 550 set to spot focus or centre focus cause id prefer the flowers to be sharp as well.
i just like the colours.
