Got my first slide film back from me holga.. they’re all dark and unuseable. Most of the roll is completeley black.
Can’t remember what was meant to be on the roll.. but would it be abything to do with the fact that I left it in the car roasting away for a few days??
WHY did this happen??? Now i’m worried i left the lens cap on or something.
I’d say a combination of problems, Slide film requires near perfect exposure which would be difficult with the Holga. If it was left open in a car the film may have got some fogging and the heat may also have impacted. I keep mine in a bag and only take it out when i use it. I also have it taped up. Maybe try 400asa colour film, cheaper and more tolerant on exposure side. Hope it does not put you off.
thanks eddie… i trundled on ahead and took about three more rolls before getting any developed so i;m hoping they don’t all come out like that.
But I’ve seen some really great shots and I’ve admired the holga users from aar for a long time. i’m waiting to get back prints on a colour film too, and that looked promising.
400 film is deffo the way to go (can you even get 200asa medium format film in this country?), but I’ve had good results with slide film. I put some 64t slide film through my Holga and got surprisingly good results. I’ll post a few here tomorrow if I get a chnace…
