Hey Rod, lovely conversion, composition and mood, i quite like this shot. I think though that the shot stands without the big border though. Nice work :)
GrahamBParticipantI am pained to agree with Ali on this – Joking. :P
I love the shot and the conversion but i do think the border is
little severe.AliParticipantGrahamBParticipantAli wrote:

*SLAP* :)
Aww you know I joke.
Not Pete the blokeParticipantI expect Bjorn will like this one….
Seriously though, very nice range of tones and a nice ‘mood’ the the photo.
Ross
PoeticJusticeMemberIt’s nice. Black and white is good. The only problem is that it looks like a single wall – something out of a Clint Eastwood Western. Perhaps a little bit of the rest of the building would have been desirable.
The border, as they say in America, sucks.
Robert55MemberRodcunhaParticipantCheers for the comments lads,
Thanks for your view poeticjustice, now that you made me think about it I think it could perhaps help though its quite hard to compose there due to many distracting elements around the church… I will give it a go when I go there again.
Thanks all,
Rod
peter1892MemberVery good – nice contrast in the sky & the composition works well with the curch slightly off-centre. The only thing I’d change is the drop shadow in the frame (I like the frame otherwise!)
BjornParticipantjoe_elwayParticipantCool Shot Rod. Did you take this over the last couple of days? The clouds down our neck of the country have been screaming b/w shots to me these days, esp. yesterday morning.

Thank you all again for your comments, I really appreciate the feedback from all the forum members.
Aidan,
Yes, this was taken Sunday evening the only day where the clouds opened up a little bit!
