Brandenburg Gate B&W

  A recent shot form Berlin – I shot a series just after sunset & this one turned out best. Fuji Acros 100 film, and I made a few adjustments with the curves tool as well.

  I think it was f/16 and 30 seconds, I must get myself one of them digital things, or else a note pad ;) Comments, suggestions etc welcome.

  Nice shot! Really strong b&w there. What are your thoughts on the area of solid shadow in the bottom third?

  I like it as it worked out pretty much as I’d hoped it would – with some light streaks going across the bottom from the traffic. I’ve some colour shots which obviously have some detail in that area (but I like B&W!). Thanks!

  oooh i like this alot :) , lovely perspective, great composition, conversion, love the contrast. I really like the shadow on the bottom third – very balanced shot Peter. Did you print this yet ?

  Thanks Alison – I haven’t printed it yet, can’t wait to see it printed up big though :)
