Lovely Rob, love the subtle tones. Great quality from your shots, what lens are you using?
Thanks Ali. I’m using my Olympus Zuiko ED 50-200mm f2.8-3.5 for most
shots these days. This one was actually taken through a fairly scruffy glass
window, but with a shallow enough dof to eliminate the spots and smudges.
Got a new lens coming this weekend from BH, courtesy of my sister, to replace
my 14-45mm f3.5-5.6 kit lens. It’s the pro version, ED 14-54mm f2.8. Can’t
wait to get my hands on that one!Rob.
Can’t say I’ve seen a Magpie up close. I actually don’t get many of them down my way. Is there really that blue tint on the head? I know the tail has it for sure. Nice detail retention despite the window.
Cheers Aidan. Not too sure if there is blue on the head, or if that’s just
some abberation from shooting through glass on a fairly bright day. I’m sure
one of the other birders here would know for definite…Rob.
