Canon Professional Network launched

This should be of interest to everyone, but Canon users in particular – the Canon Professional Network. This replaces the Canon Professional Services (CPS) site, which itself was a very useful resource. CPS membership is now reserved to those owning at least 2 Canon professional bodies and/or (not sure which) 3 “L” series lenses. But there’s still lots of useful and interesting info on the CPN site.
markcapilitanParticipantAre you a CPS member Thorsten? I am, but have been unable to get in touch with CPS/CPN about getting a new card.

I’m afraid not. I don’t have the required 2x Pro bodies and 3x L-series lenses (but I’m getting there  )

Checked on this… ye actually have to have 2 pro bodies AND 3 L lenses…! Dam it…! Have the lenses but not the bodies. Ah well… maybe in a few years..!

markcapilitanParticipantIt really is geared for pros, which is why the tough entry requirements – they also check to make sure you are a pro or semi-pro when you register to join…not just a rich kid with too much money to spend!!
But their service is supposed to be excellent – 7-10 days repairs on cameras with a loan if necessary etc. I haven’t had to use them yet, but nice to know they are there if needed. If I could only get in contact with them now to sort a new members card!!!!earthairfireParticipantrichiehatch wrote:
