Found a pair of these nesting in a local forest yesterday. First time I’d seen them during the summer. This is at the extreme end of what the lens could reach. Canon 20D, 300mm f4 IS, monopod, 1/1600, f4, ISO 100. C &C welcome MJ :D :D
Not bad at all. You did well not to get just a silhouette. My garden is coming down with these fellas since I put out nyger seed. They are very common apparently.
