    Great capture Aiden…really well timed. It’s a pity about the little bit of blown highlights on the back…but I think the shot is more important than niggles like that :D

    I always think the big long legged birds look really strange in flight..like they shouldn’t actually be flying… :wink: Kinda reminds me of a Concorde a bit.

    This little fella was hilarious to watch. He was hopping about like a Blackbird on speed. Hard as heck to get a shot of him when he wasn’t obscured by reeds. Plus, I was shooting with a 30D that I had on loan for the day so there was a learning curve … gotta say … VERY nice camera.

    I’m trying to figure out how to select highlight areas in a demo install of Adobe Lightroom. I reckon I have detail in the RAW file for the low outs that I can bring back … but only if I can select that area like we saw in the demos on Sunday. It’s wrecking my head, trying to find it.

    on the histogram in the develop mode, click on the little triangle in the top right, that will show you the cooked areas
