Bird for ID

I know all you birders love the challenge, so here we go. No prizes this time (the last prize remains unclaimed). This lady is sometimes easier to identify from her song than her looks, so I got a pic of her singing. I know it won’t win a competition, but it’s the best bird shot I’ve taken outside my garden, I think. What you see here is a crop at 100% i.e. a lot of the picture was thrown away. I need a 500mm lens!
Pete I’d go with a Stonechat or Whinchat. BTW what was the last unclaimed prize. :?: Not a bad shot for an extensive crop.

I reckon she’s a female stonechat. Whinchats are supposed to have more of a pale stripe over the eye. I’m no expert (and that’s an understatement) but she was making stonechat noises to my reckoning.
The prize was for my redpoll shot a few weeks ago. :)
Female stonechat for me too, Whinchats are a different shape …and colour :wink:
