Kodachrome

ExpresbroParticipant
Paul Simon’s song ran through my head as I snapped this shot. The photographer, as far as I could tell, was a Japanese tourist taking shots of his girlfriend and the two girls just ambled by him lost in their own conversation. It’s Black and White, it’s grainy and it sure as hell ain’t Kodachrome…. :D
Kodachrome
They give us those nice bright colors
They give us the greens of summers
Makes you think all the worlds a sunny day, oh yeah
I got a nikon camera
I love to take a photograph
So mama dont take my kodachrome awayRobMemberNicely spotted moment Robbie, though you’d have
done better to bend your knees a little before clicking
that shutter; a scene looked down upon is rarely as
appealing as a scene looked at. The noise suits your
conversion, though the slight bluish cast doesn’t.
Still a keeper mind. Nice work.Rob.
ExpresbroParticipantYeah…I know Rob…there are several things I’d have done differently, but was just a quick grab shot and the kids were moaning for me to stop taking pictures and hurry up…
Was actually gonna go over and talk to the guy but again…little voices saying…Car…Dinner…hungry..tired pulled me away…
He did have a Nikon as well btw
AliParticipantOOOOH touch?, i like the new avatar :D. Lovely shot Robbie, love the grain. There’s so much going on in the scene, and it’s perfectly captured.
You’ve filled the frame excellently. Definitely takes more than a glance to take in all of the information in the photograph – which is always a good thing. Well done :)GrahamBParticipantNice shot Robbie – Personally I love the conversion. I like the dated feel of the shot.
Still, what is with you photographing photographers?
ExpresbroParticipantHehehe!! I know…I just have this urge Graham…..a little voice inside my heads keeps telling me to do it…
I have another shot of this scene from a few moments earlier, with his girlfriend (I assume) still in the frame, which I also like but haven’t decided how to frame it yet…watch this space!!
If I win the lotto I’m gonna get me one of those nice little Leica Rangefinders… 8) 8)
Ali…I actually posted the shot in Everything Else that I used for my new avatar. It’s a bronze sculpture that my sister has at her house that I’ve always liked. So decided it was time to lose the comic book me..
