My local club has a display every year in the Stella Maris centre in Kilmore Quay of our attempts at photography. This year the title has been “Pretty places in Ireland”. Now, the Cliffs of Moher are energetic, awe inspiring, stunning, amazing, etc but you couldn’t call them pretty. I’ve taken a picture of Dunbrody Abbey near New Ross and I’m stretching it to call it pretty. Let me know what you think and if you can suggest something that falls into the “Pretty” category somewhere around the South East. I’ve been to Inistioge but the conditions weren’t right at the time. Help??
I had considered a rotation but if you look at the building walls – they’re vertical in relation to the image sides. It’s the fact that the abbey is on a slope that may be knocking the perspective. I tried putting a field of rapeseed in front to lessen this sharp incline but it didn’t work. Any thoughts?
