This one just ran out in front of me during my ramble in some
of the darker areas of the woods at the back of Headfort
Golf Course. Massively underexposed, but bought up to a
viewable level in Rawshooter…
I’m sure the ornithologists here can say… Pity it was underexposed Rob, they’re smashing looking birds. Seem to remember Richie Hatch having a couple of lovely c0ck pheasant shots up here before at some stage.

Yeah it looks like a hen pheasant to me. The Red Grouse is a slightly darker colour with a spot of bright red on its head..! Not that I am an expert or anything just looked it up in my birdy book…!
