I have just killed my laptop. Minor self repair on a very out of date machine. What I would like is people’s suggestions for an affordable laptop for photo editing. The interweb screams mac book pro but that’s out of my league. Any suggestions.

Does is have to be a laptop? I have just got a Mac Mini, it is a desktop
but is incredibly small about 6inches square, you do have to buy a screen
as well but will work with any screen. Can work out quite reasonably for
a Mac. I always found it very hard to edit on a laptop, the movable screen
meant I nearly always had it in a different position so what looked like a
good edit one day looked to bright/dark the next?Of course you can get round that by having a laptop attached to a screen
I suppose. Just an idea to consider.It’s an idea. I think my wife would regard anything that doesn’t fold away as extra clutter. I have diving as my summer hobby and equipment spreads around the house as it is.
