Last chance to see .. a Caracara

This is the last Caracara post (I think).
I am really happy with this shot. It’s my favorite of the set.
First I thought is was no good, partly because the bird was almost leaving the frame on the left.
But I managed to save ithe shot by cropping a lot on the right.
I wonder if it could be even better with some selective level adjustment to bring out more detail in the birdie (that’s where I would use a mask, right?)?This is very beautiful.
Whatever you did to salvage it you did very well.The snowcapped Andes (I am assuming..maybe not :shock: )
really provide a beautiful backdrop for such a clear photo of the bird.Maybe a tad brighter on the head to bring out the eye but not much more. Tha background and the tail really makes this one work for me.

The backround really is spectacular and the bird looks really well exposed as well. You really make this look too damn easy…and having tried even getting simple in flight shots of Herons at the zoo I know it’s anything but.
very nice. i’ve never seen one of these in flight. i’ve only seen them sitting around.
