I’m just wondering if you could help me with some critique on this. I highly appreciate it!
Taken on Lipari, a small island near to Sicily.jb7ParticipantI think some off the left and some off the bottom would help,
unless its cropped already-
There seems to be too much going on around the edges of the frame,
when the subject should be the man’s efforts with the boat-a slight bit more warmth might help too,
and a bit of selective desaturation on the primary colours in the backround might make them a little less distracting-That’s what I’d be tempted to do-

As the bold Joseph already hinted at…well, hint for him  A little cropping and PS work could make this a really great shot. The building in the background, to me, are a total distraction and unneccesary.
As for the rad processing…please…don’t…

You a crazy guy-
I had a lens like that once,
cost me ?150 to get it fixed:lol:
Can’t beat a good chuckle first thing in the morning…

rmMemberrandomwayMemberI like this crop. The stones are a bit warmer as well… nice. It’s a pity that I’m absolutely lazy these days and the only thing I can do is organizing and deleting stuff from my trip. PP takes time. Thanks for the ideas, I’m much smarter now.
I took these photos with the 300mm manual nikkor and of course half of the shots are soft (including this one). Also, I had to crop a bit and when the guy turned and I was closer, he was lost in the background (boats, houses, election posters). This is the best shot I have and I think, this crop and pp really helped on it. I’ll now start processing from raw..
Thanks for all.
