High on a Glen between Cushendall and Cushendun, on the edge of a cliff looking over the Sea, lie the ruins of ‘Layd’ Church and graveyard. The gravestones are all over the place – there is hardly a flat place of ground available to place a grave, but it didn’t stop them burying people on the hillsides.
Thanks Pete – no, these are only snaps. The fourth in particular was almost impossible to take without nd grads and it clearly suffers from camera shake. I just couldn’t believe what a gem of a graveyard it was, and I suspect the gravestone at the edge of the cliff must belong to a sailor? Unfortunately it is collapsing, and the writing is on the down side, so it is very hard to try to read.
The softness of the images look like a filter (PS) of some sort as the headstone in #2 looks sharp. If it is I like this type of finish. If it isn’t…then I don’t care. The finish is attractive although given the nature of the subject I’d have tried to tone the colour down.

I expect you to go back with ropes Ross. Isn’t your art worth it?
