Just bought a copy of the Nikon Compendium.
This book details all Nikon cameras, lenses, flashes and accessories since 1917 (goes up as far as 2004’s D70)
400 pages of pictures of all the cameras etc and the history and how one model led to the next and the different versions of each model, really really interesting
All i can say is its a great book that all Nikon users will really enjoy. My first Nikon was the FM2. Went straight to this camera in the book and read up on all the variations etc

Just bought this myself Martin. after browsing through these threads recently.
Very detailed indeed. A good browsing book.
