Issue Getting Press Pass

Hi,
Looking for some advice on how to approach this.
I have been given a letter from a website requesting I be provided with a press pass from a sporting body here in Ireland.
About 2.5 months ago I applied to this organization for the said pass.
I never heard anything from them so I phoned them 3 weeks ago.
They told me the application was accepted so I was expecting to get the documentation in the post.
I never heard anything so I phoned again last Monday and they said they have not sent it out yet and will do so asap.
Now, again almost 2 weeks later I have not heard anything.
It is getting to the dates where I am expected to cover the events and I still don’t have my pass.
I don’t want to be a pain in the ass for the guy I applied to but I really need to get this done.
Should I go back to the website and I photographing for and see if they can move things along or should I call time on your man and insist I get the pass.
The ironic thing about it is that the guy who gave me the letter requesting the pass is head of the Northern Ireland branch of the sporting organisation and the head of issuing press passes but can’t give me one directly as I live in the Republic and needs the go ahead from the Republic branch.Just wondering if someone is used to dealing with this sort of thing and how best to approach it at this stage but I really need to get my hands on my press pass.

Keep getting onto them if you haven’t received it (and as you said you’ve been accepted, so it shouldn’t be anymore difficult than popping it in the post). Tell them you need it ASAP and to register the pass too. Some bodies give you your pass way before the event, some though like the FIA with Formula 1 give you a letter a few days before you’d travel to the event and then you get your pass at the event. It’s different with everyone, but keep onto them.
Keep the preasure on. We are all the same……the customer that keeps calling up gets their work done faster !

Update: It in the post apparently but I still haven’t got it…I’m going to go mad..

The “in the post” is the most effective antidote for the repeating calls from customers… Hope, it’s not a lie this time.
I fear it is a lie, that was thursday, nearly a week gone and I still don’t have it. He has all my documentation and another photographers press pass as well. I am really starting to get piss*d. Going to phone twice a day now.

This body would be the controling body for motorcycling sport in ireland….. If so I have had the same trouble for the past 3 years with them….
