I managed to get reasonably close to this little beaut a few days ago using my new hide (Alfa Romeo – expensive but comfortable). I think this is the better one of the dozen or so I got off.
By the way, if anyone has any ideas on how to rid one of these little buggers from mounting himself from outside my bedrom window from 4.30am every morning you will be well rewarded.

Although I think the swallows have edged out the wren on the phone line lately…twittering rather than chirping.
