Rose ‘Ice Cream’

Was hoping to get in here whilst Noely was having a night off… thought with all this rain he wouldn’t be out taking photo’s of flies… little did I think about water droplets!
Anyway onto the picture… Took delivery of a Canon a640 P&S last week as a wee companion to my bigger kit. Mostly for snapshots where I don’t feel I need the SLR. However, it’s quite a neat little camera with a 1cm macro focus at the wide end of the zoom, so I thought I’d give it test at the weekend.
Rose ‘Ice Cream’ from my back garden. I know theres a few imperfections – looks like I got to it a day or 2 later than I should have, but I’d be interested to see what you think.

Nice and soft, with a lovely texture to it. Maybe the lighting is a bit harsh, slightly subdued it might bring out the petals more :wink:
