Hi just looking for comments good or bad on the below work before I take it into the darkroom, the swan has been done thanks to thefizz and Eddie.
I think they may be a bit dark due to the calibration on my monitor.
I’d go straight to the fern shot, its the business . Its the one i would print first, the other one i like is the weeping willow in the water. Hard to judge the others as you say they are a little dark. I’d always print the strong images first. The ferns will work well as a toned image as well so print a few to play with, allowing the highlight areas to go a little darker on the image you intend toning. The toner will then lighten them up and also push the contrast up a little.
the fern really caught my eye, the tones have a silvery look about them. the rest of the shots are pretty good, but no comparison with the fern shot..

Thanks guys, I always get a bit uncertain about my work when looking at it for to long so your comments have been very encouraging. The fern shot I printed the other night but may have to redo as Im having trouble getting that silvery look to it, its not a bad print its just not as strong as the digital, I think it may have been due to the fact that I foucused to much on the midtones when pilt grade printing. Was think of using Les Mcleans technique of spilt grade printing on 0 and 5 to see if it might bumb it up.
