    Nothing wrong with the flares, I really like them in fact (like here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/chunangadan/337223610/). Not sure about the shot above – I like the clouds, but the sun is so overpowering, its hard to notice what is going on at the bottom of the frame, IMHO.

    PS: Embedding is much better than loading the file to postimage.org, many here wouldn’t bother clicking to load larger version, and especially if your image is in postimage.org

    Nothing wrong with a bit of lens flare provided that contrast doesn’t suffer and there are no distracting reflections.

    But the blown out cloud would concern me more. Not an easy one that.

    When used in the right circumstances flare can help. such as in night time shooting to create a star by using a small aperture.
