I like the colours in the sky

It may just be me – I find there’s a part of the cloud quite distracting 2cm above the sun about 1 cm from the top. My eyes are drawn to it to see what’s goin on up there…

    Is the horizon straight? :o

    Nice one Brian.

Looks like Portstewart has a good habit of firing up the sky. I’m up there this Thursday if anyone is interested.

One small point Brian, It looks like you’ve levelled your horizon on the right hand side without doing your distortion correction first. I think that is why the left hand side seems to fall off quite noticeably.

A nice choice of exposure there. The waves are soft against the sharp rocks but still nicely defined.

    Cheers guys.

Re that horizon, I levelled it last nite but didn’t notice the barrel distortion, (that’s the rush of getting back, processing it and trying to ‘get it up’ before midnight). It’s a shame because I came down to f18 and zoomed in a little to try and find that “sweet spot”. I’ll give it a crack at ironing out the curve. BTW, can it be done in Elements 5.

We’ve all been there Brian. You’ve got to be quick, especially if you’ve been out with other sneaky photographers who tell you they are off home to bed.
