Working for car magazines 17 euro per image

I worked for a car magazine last year for a week, 10 per photo + 7 Expenses Euro!!. You need to travel for for away, make many mobile calls. When you drive to meet someone to take an image, they have sold the car, or have changed there mind with in a hour!!.. so you dont get paid!!

At that kind of money it just cant be done ……… your income tax bill wont be too high anyway ! You would be better off “signing on” as they say. Heard a guy in the locan last night saying he had just received an extra payment in his unemployment. His friend recons its because he has not missed a day in the last 10 years or more “signing on” !
At those rates no-one should take up their offer of work. Only ends up devaluing the works of professional photographers everywhere
and you have to take cash for the ad of (which will be published in the car magazine) 80 euro when you take the photo(s), and post the cash to the car magazine…..
My young daughter gets ?5 an hour for walking dogs – sounds like a better option

NEVER TAKE PHOTOS FOR CAR MAGS.
Yep I did this aswell bout two years ago.. No way to make money. I did it for a very brief time.. Between petrol/diesel, your time etc it just doesnt pay you. Plus you have to call people to get directions etc and as OP said sometimes they change their mind etc… I wouldnt recommend it either..
They email you a list of cars to take images of:-
Yes, like Gfox said ‘you need to make phone calls, and people do change their minds’ and when you travel to them, NO PHOTO NO CASH for you!!
Then you need to come home, mail the photos, and sometimes photoshop them…. all for 17 euro!!
