Shot all these with a 20 year old ?70 lens, bought on ebay. (oooohhh for a f2.8 )

    All shot 250-400th/sec and f4-5.6 and ISO200-400.

If they don’t display right click and select Show Picture. (pbase  )

    John McGuinnes 250 Honda

    Peter Wakefield 250 Honda

    William Cowden (I think)

Superbikes passing me about 4 feet away at about 140mph
    Lougher #7 and Hutchinson #8

#8 Hutchinson, lap record (132mph)and new fastest man on the roads

This fella has been sitting at the same spot for 40yrs at the Ulster GP

I have to say, while these are not exactly the sharpest racing
images I’ve ever seen (nothing you couldn’t fix with a little more
love and affection in Potato Soup), each and every one is superbly
timed and composed. Very nice work indeed Brian…

    WHAT!!

I know, I’m not too sure if it’s the lens or minor camea shake. I guess it’s the lens being wide open (f5.6 at 300).
    Thaks for the feedback Rob.

Brian have to agree with Rob here. Couldn’t view the links had to go to pbase, might mean a few less comments.

Brian, I notice that you have put in a very different source code for the images, compared to mine. I simply put the ‘www.pbase.com/galleryname/number’ inside the brackets, whereas you have quite a complicated way of doing it? Your images are not all showing for me, so maybe if you tried the other way it might work better.

Here is an example – reply with quotes to see how I embedded it:

Ross, I can’t access pbase in work due to firewalls, don’t even know if you’re link has worked, so I’ll check that out tonight at home. Cheers mate.

All appear soft for me too…something which cannot be fixed in photoshop as some say. It takes a long time to be able to nail racing cars/bikes very sharp…believe me I know. Composition wise, they could be better, but that comes with experience. Keep tryin’!!
