Went to the finish of the Tour of Ireland yesterday and tried my hand on Cycling photography for the first time – man are they fast.
Despite I got some nice pictures.
The last ones probably the best for me in terms of capturing the essance of cycling. The power and desire of the top rank Rabobank pro to make a selection. The pure effort and deturmination of the irish rider behind him to stay on his wheel. And the tow the third guys getting!
I’ve also got a doft spot for no 2. All to oftern the crowd in sports photos look wooden. It’s good to see soome get into the action.
Amazing how Irish the light is. Totally diferent to light even in early season Belgium/French classic photo’s.
I’m sure David McLoughlin would be delighted with the first and last photograph. Really well captured and crisp. I’m not sure about the intention of the third one but the others are a great collection to remember the tour. It’s a pity the biger names in the Pro Tour didn’t turn up but I suppose the Tour of the Benelux holds more clout.
