although i am a little disappointed that they have decided to use flash memory and therefore limit it to quite small capacities

I’ve heard that iPods aren’t great to upload to-
Takes an awful long time, and runs down your batteries-Ok if you can get all your shooting onto a very small card,
not so good if you want to transfer multiple gigs-More money gets you an Epson P5000-
A lot more money,
and no browser, or touchscreen interface-8Gb is too small anyway,
for a portable hard drive-j
for a bit more money
you get the new canon portable image viewer which has twice the space of the big ipod
and very cool is it uses the same battery as most of canons cameras
