Mark, thanks for the welcome note… and for highlighting the fact that I am the 1,000th member… you probably wouldn’t believe this but I’ve actually been waiting to join since the 31st July 2006 (‘:(‘) (I narrowly missed becoming the 100th member). It’s great to make 999 people feel as if they are 1 in a 1,000. Now, how does a ‘very amateur photographer’ upload a few images? I suspect that JB7, Rob and the other active members will enjoy sticking verbal pin holes in ’em!

I hope you haven’t tried to pin any pictures to your monitor yet-
(a common newbie mistake)
we just wont be able to see them-You’ll need to use an external hosting site-
I use ImageShack-
Clicking on any of my pictures will bring you there-
Sign up, and follow the instructions to upload an image-Use the bb code for forums to link directly to the image-
Linking from thumbnails is frowned upon here,
as its one unnecessary click too far,
and some hosting sites will put dodgy advertising all around your image-Copy the code,
and paste it in your post-
and you’re done-So get posting-

So, a persistent lurker decides to finally sign up after more
than a year of waiting for the right moment. Patience indeed.As for pin holes, feel free to gouge bloody great chunks out of
anything I post, safe in the knowledge that one’s opinion is just
that – one’s opinion. It’s all subjective…Have fun and get posting soon.
