Which camera to buy?
-
BramVParticipant
Hi folks
Admin Mark adviced me to throw the topic in here… I’m sorry if the topic is already made!
I’m a non-professional model who actually wants to start as a photographer,too.
I’d like to buy a camera, but which one?? I prefer to have one that is not too heavy, cause a station (statif?) won’t be incuded in my starter pack + a camera that can make, with a basic focus, a technically seen good picture (eg. colors). These are maybe a bit of high standards for someone that only has a budget of +/- 250 ? 550 EUR? But a second hand/used camera would be fine by me,too. Just let me know…Could you please give me your opinions about your (prefered) cameras? I know everybody’s different and the kind/model of camera is a personal choice, but I think that’s just the interesting thing about it.
Thanks in advance!

Hello BramV-
I can’t advise on a camera-
buy the best you can afford-
there’s a big difference between 250-500 euro-I’m sure someone will have an opinion-
It’d be good to know what type of picture you want to take-j
BramVParticipantThanks for the good translation.
Well,I’d like to make all kinds of pictures.
From landscapes,to what’s going on on the streets (sometimes the streets themselves),to model photography (portrait, fashion, glamour,…) on location/studio,day/night,remarkable things like a beautiful flower or the game between sun and clouds. I can’t really say which kind of photos,as I’m a newbie and I don’t know in which kind of pictures I will be good at.Maybe it’s not well communicated. I just like to know which kind you,as a (hopefully) experienced photographer, use and why. That’s already an advise, you know. Then I can think like: hmm, that’s maybe something for me,or totally not.
I know I’d better go for something like 500 EUR. That’s sometimes the best price/quality camera, but maybe someone knows a cheaper one that’s not that bad either. Is it good to go for used camera’s? (like on ebay or something)
stcstcMemberused stuff can sometimes work out, you just have to be carefull
if you want something of an all round camera, for the sort of money you have to spend, maybe look at the entry level slr cameras from canon nikon etc
IOPParticipantNikon D70S with 18-70 Lens approx ?550 second hand. Great camera for quality with some good pro features,

digitalfotomanParticipantI have a D70 it’s a great camera – I reckon you could get one very cheaply as I don’t think they’re manufactured anymore.
