ExpresbroParticipantObvious question Smitty…but you haven’t put it in Macro Mode by mistake? It will be a symbol like a little flower usually?
smitty88MemberExpresbroParticipantHmm..well a hand symbol on the LCD usually denotes possible camera shake…usually occurs if you are shooting at low shutter speeds…
smitty88Membersmitty88Membermy daughter is having her debs on friday
and it looks like i wont be taking any shotsof her special night
Not Pete the blokeParticipantI would suggest that you are set up with a low iSO rating, which will give slow shutter speeds in poor lighting ie indoors. Change the ISO rating to a higher setting. Also check your flash setting is set to auto flash.
Alternatively, you could be shooting in AV mode, in poor lighting with flash. This again, will give very slow shutter speeds in low light as the camera will meter for the ambient light regardless of flash.
Shoot in P mode or auto mode, and check ISO is at least 400, preferably 800 for indoors.Madra RuaParticipantI suggest that you change to one of the ‘program’ modes, Auto or Portrait for now.
There should be a wheel on the top that you use to select those.smitty88Membersmitty88Membersmitty88MembersteelydanParticipantHad a look at the data and the only thing jumps out at me is the ISO is set to auto and the shutter speed is 5.66???? seems a little puzzling to me.Don tknow much about the S3 maybe someone else can shed some light?

I’m seeing 1/50 second for the shutter speed, which looks fine. You say this was before everything went blurry. Can you post something that’s actually “blurry” (post it the same way – full size) to compare?

alzaphodParticipantHi Smithy,
One thing that i thought about when you said that the images were blurry even before you take the shot, is that there is a diopter adjustment for the viewfinder, its a small turn screw to the left of the viewfinder which focus’s the viewfinder in and out. possibly this is out of focus now…
