Red bricked bridge
-
j_machaleParticipant
Taken on a cloudy day in Italy in August.
(actually one of the 12 of 14 cloudy days if you’d believe it! :))
All C&C welcome – thanks in advance,
John.
irishshaguaParticipantNice picture, I like the colour of the builidng in the background. Its not what I’d expect in the image and makes it a little different and interesting. The only thing I think is that the reflection of the bridge in the water is great but maybe you could of got more of the actual bridge into the image itself. Just my opinion though, nice pic. Unfortunate about the weather for you though. :)
j_machaleParticipantThanks Irishshagua – I agree that it would have been nice to have more of the bridge, i’m not sure what was to the left of the water but I remember I had to cut it out of the scene for some reason – American tourists most likely – a bus load had just beaten me there :)
John.
PixelleMemberThis is almost an abstract. Well spotted. If only the water were more still – but we cannot control everything. [sigh]
PeteTheBlokeMemberHere’s another vote in favour. It’s nicely put together. I wonder if you
have a few of them – different angles may be even better. The verticals look a tiny bit off – but that may just be the dodgy foreign way of building :)
RobMemberI like it too. A picture within a picture is what I first noticed.
I see you allow edits, so I’ve taken the liberty of cropping your
image and rotating it slightly. Hope you don’t mind…Rob.
jb7ParticipantYes, that’s the one that’s screaming to get out-
I like it more now-j
j_machaleParticipantThanks guys for the comments and the help. And no worries with editing my images Rob – anyone who can make my pics better – chop away!
I think I’ll drag out the raw again and try the square crop – I fear the image is too soft for it to work but I’ll post my attempt.
Thanks again,
John.
j_machaleParticipantHi Guys,
This is my second attempt using Robs suggested crop and a sharpened b/w conversion (attempt :D)
Thanks,
John.
PeteTheBlokeMemberI like that B+W one. You could almost walk into it.
Well….if you were Jesus you could.
