It seems to be observing the smoking ban-
I think I’d be happier calling this a landscape if it were still covered in pumice-
but since they’ve excavated it,
it seems more like Architecture to me-Amazing place-
for the buildings-Good exposure on this too,
looks like you’ve kept detail all over-
Don’t know if I’d want to see it a tiny bit darker, or not-
jNice work PD. The site must be wonderful to see – I haven’t been there.
Your picture sends a little shiver down my back – supernatural response
to the mountain looking so calm and the “ruins” looking so unruined. It’s a
smashing shot, and very evocative.thanks JB and Pete….yes Vesuvius behaved itself for the duration of our visit :D ….and yes the site is an amazing place, even my 8 year old loved it and can’t wait to regale her classmates with the details!
