Tooks these on Wednesday nite on the class nite out. First time I’ve ever shot in B&W.
C&C, are they crap, mostly shot at ISO 1600.

    Hi Brian,

The first one could do with a bit of contrast work – it’s dark overall but a bit of contrast will liven it up without taking the sombre feeling from it. The second to me is the pick of the crop. The DOF is perfect and the detail in the foreground teeth of the cog are just perfectly exposed although I may be inclined to loose the bright spots just to the left. The third would also benefit from a little contrast and a little brightening in the foreground in my opinion to bring out the detail. I’d selectively lighten as you’re close to blowing the distant detail. And for the last one…that’s just mad!:D

Four nice pictures. 2 and 3 for me being my favorites. Would agree with Alan’s suggestions also for post processing

    Four decent shots.

The standout for me is number 2, really like it. Agree with Alan eile about getting rid of the highlights on the left.

The bridge looks slightly crooked to me, but I could be wrong.

I like the way the puddles lead the eye in to the chair on the first picture though I wonder if it could have been improved with a lower viewpoint?

What type of gear were you using?

    Brian,
Four nice shots 4 more than I got on Monday night, I like the 3rd the best if I had to pick that is.

    Agree with comments,

In the first if the bench was not as close to the edge of the picture might of been better, but not sure, still learning meself
