Need to buy Camera Case – any recommendations please?

I’m so excited – I just got delivery of my Canon 400D, Sigma 17-70mm and a Canon 50mm. I bought this cheap case on eBay which is fine for just the camera itself, but it won’t hold much more than that. I want to get another bad that will comfortably hold the camera with lens attached, the second lens, and a few bits and bobs.

I want it very compact so it tightly holds these items and is no bigger than absolutely necessary. I’ve been searcing the web and have not seen much I like. Actually I did notice a few interesting ones in PC World and also the camera shop in Dubndrum shopping centre – I think they were made by Lowe? I did not get a change to look properly but it was about the best I have seen

Anyway. can anyone recommend where I should be looking?
    Thanks

    Hi Colly,

I can recommend the Lowepro Singshot 300AW. sizewise it’s about perfect for what you need and it’s handy if you’re out and about around town and want to get at the camera without taking it off your back.

The only minus really is, like all single strap bags, it’s not that comfortable on long treks.

My recommendation is for a bag from the ‘Crumpler’ range which look a little less like a camera bag.

So far very sturdy, zip placed carefully so that theives cannot get in easily. Have laptop pockets etc.

    Can’t recommend highly enough.

Just remember to check bag dimensions against air hand baggage size else you may find one more peice to check in for budget air travel at ?5 / sector.
