I just got a lend of an instructional photography DVD from a friend. I have yet to watch it but he tells me its excellent, and you can learn loads from it, moreso than many books etc.
I assume there are probably lots of these types of DVD’s – does anyone know of any ones that could be recommended? Names of well known photographers that produce such material?
Thanks
One that I found invaluable to repeatedly watch was an instructional on my own camera. You can read a book and not digest as much as someone explaining it to you.
There are many video tutorials on-line too worth looking for.
Aside from the use of books, videos or dvds, just getting out and using your camera is the best
way to learn. You’ll only pick up so much from books etc… its when you start putting in the practice,
making mistakes that you’ll learn :)
It depends which area of photography you are interested in.
The late Monte Zucker has some excellent training dvds if you are into portrait and wedding photography.
