The Holy Stone of Clonrichart

While others were chasing castles in the sky some of us saw the Holy Stone. It had an aura, an energy…more than the farting horse that took us there had.
Probably shouldn’t be in this section as it isn’t really one for critique…

The stone is for real…but it’s a model (a poor model) of Cill Ghobnait. The inscription did read “An teampall beag, Cill Gobnait” but modern advances in graffiti altered the message. The bit about the poodle, crisps, etc was a quote from Hauke on the PI trip thread. It fitted, somehow.
Like I was saying to Mark after Hauke played all of his Fr Ted ringtones next to the Plassey, we need a Fr Ted forum. I said, “Go on, go…..” nah, I won’t go on! :roll:

I only asked if it was for real-
I presume the inscription is from Father Ted,
written by the two lads mentioned earlier?It wouldn’t be beyond the Disneyfication of the west of Ireland if this was to be real-

Have to admit you had me going for a while also. If the people from Inisheer see this post i would not be surprised if they do actually erect a holy stone
