Irish White Wagtail (in italian:Ballerina Bianca) ilredelsilenzioParticipant October 19, 2007 at 1:03 am From my trip in Ireland PeteTheBlokeMember October 19, 2007 at 8:04 am Lovely photo of a lovely bird. And what a great name you have for it in Italian. I reckon I’ll always think of it being a white ballerina from now on. beefParticipant October 19, 2007 at 8:12 am Lovely shot, and very well exposed too. These guys aren’t easy considering their contrasting colours… cheers, beef RobMember October 19, 2007 at 8:55 am As Pete said, lovely photo, and an even more beautiful name. I reckon that will stick in a lot of peoples’ minds now… Rob. RayK1Member October 19, 2007 at 9:43 pm Great shot of a lovely little bird. Not sure it’s the European White Wagtail Motacilla alba alba, has the feel of a Pied Wagtail Motacilla alba yarrellii. Flanks show a lot of grey which tends to be much cleaner in the White.
