Cost per image on an Epson 2400

    Hi folks,

I’m seriously considering the purchase of an Epson 2400 printer as more and more people are buying my photos. I have to print about 5 photos a week, usually A3, but I will go up to 10 prints a week soon. I’m just wondering, how cost effective would it be using an Epson 2400, how much one A3 color print would cost.
As it’s much quicker and customizable than any printing service, I’d pay more, but above say 20-25 euros a page I’d start thinking to find another solution…

I read some good reviews about the printer, but I didn’t find anyhting about the actual cost. Could some of you, who use this machine or a similar one give me a rough figure?

    Thanks guys in advance.

i think depending on paper your looking t more like 3 or 4 euro a print

but if you want some real fancy fine art paper you might be talking more

if you are doing a lot of prints, the other way to do it, is buy one of the bigger printers as the cost per print is much much less

    Thanks for the reply Steve.

Well, that sounds surprisingly good compared to the labs. As people were saying, it’s expensive, I expected much more than 3-4 euro. My main reason for buying a printer is the turnaround time and the control over the quality. I’d get a 4800 if I had the budget, but I’ll have a look anyway.
