Difficult subject to take on, I imagine. In low light, it’s extra difficult to freeze the subject – if that’s what to you want to do.
My other observation is in regard to composition, and I have to say that we can’t plan for this always: I think it works better to compose a photo of a moving object with the direction of the movement from left to right. That’s how we read (in our culture anyway!). With the plane going from right to left, and the eye going from left to right, it can have the effect of counter-balancing the movement. [Admittedly, this may be the desired effect in some cases :o ] Now, I’m not suggesting that you run across the runway either ? ? :)

Never even thought of that. Will definitely keep it in mind for th future. But like you say it would be far too awkward to run across the other side of the runway. haha :wink:
