New six star hotel in Castlemartyr Co.Cork.

Hi All,
Went for a spin on Sunday and decided to have a look in the new hotel in Castlemartyr Co.Cork. Apparently it costs about ?600 per night for an average room :shock: . I took a few snaps of the old building there. Still learning!! If they had “L” plates for photographers i would deffo need them :). C&C very welcome.
Nice shot mate, it’s an unusual building & definately makes for a good subject. 600 bob a night? Did they try to charge you for taking a few photos on the property?!
Did you boost the saturation when you were processing?
I would clone out the lights around the building & in the forground-they’re distracting. The grass looks good but i think would look a lot better without that closest light.

Very nice shot, I agree with Mark regarding the lights. As I was looking at the “distracting lights” I was wondering what it would look like in the dark with those lights turn on. Might have to book in some night, especially with that good rate!!!!!!!!

I’d say the saturation is a bit overdone. The sky in particular looks odd, it’s coming up on the purple/magenta end of blue for me.
(hopefully some of the 600 squids they’re charging will go towards a bit of resurfacing the main street in Castlemartyr that the trucks used in the construction of the place chewed up)

My laptop monitor really needs to be calibrated :(. I can see the “purply” sky on my work monitor. Made a few changes as suggested so see below.
Mark, What do you mean by “closest light”? Ye are more than welcome to edit my pic to show me :)
I might take a spin down this evening and see that its like lit up. Its only about 10 mis drive from where i live.I meant the light at the bottom of the picture, but it’s fine, you got it. Picture looks a lot better for the cloning.
Would also be interested to see what it’s like lit up!
