Canon 40D vs 5D?

Hey guys, just looking for some feedback on the camera to choose for Sports photography? I would guess that the 40D would be better because it is faster but that is just taking the fps into account…any feedback would be greatly appreciated
For sport, I’d certainly go for the 40D. I use it. Extra fps, larger buffer, 1.6 crop, as well as it’s other features.
The 5D is a great camera, but full frame, slower fps, smaller buffer will all add up, especially for sport.
For Sports and wildlife go for the 40D. It is almost a mini 1D Mk III. The 1.6x sensor is great with long lenses. I have a 40D that I use as teleconverter with telephotos. It is a superb camera.The 5D is a poor man’s 1Ds. Full frame sensor, superb quality for landscapes, portraits etc. The 5D performs best with Canon’s high end lenses.
