Canon 28-135 IS Lens at Argos

Hey there,
i have been looking for this lens at a good price for a while now, but tonight i came across the argos website and they are selling them new for ?289.99 !!
check it out!

The price is also in the irish version of the catalog.I would buy as many of them as possible, as I believe the price is a mistake!!!!! Warehouseexpress is selling them at almost ?300.00. and as you can see from Jim’s link, Argos UK is selling them for nearly ?400!!!
yeah i believe this is a definate mistake as items in the uk argos catalogues usually work out slightly cheaper after currency conversion at the current rate. this lense should be around the 420 euro mark i believe
I think it could be a mistake too but they can’t renegue on it as they have advertised it extensively (the catalogues and the internet) ; you have to order them as they don’t keep them in the stores. I ordered one today and its due in next wednesday. I would cynically expect them to try to raise the price then but would that be legal?
nah if they get one for ya u will get it at that price
i do know one or two people who got one, but i have been told by a good few people they were messed around, like saying stock not arrived etc
Well I got the lens today and it was at ?289 :D All I have to do now is test it!
I got one also today for 289.99 and they also gave me a 10 euro gift voucher.
Actually I also got one for a mate of mine.
Took the last 2 in stock.
Looks an amazing lens, cant wait to use it.

599 Euro.
Now thats what I call saving.
