    Hi everyone,
I registered the other day but just spotted this introduction spot today. My name is Josephine, at the minute I am a stay at home mother of three who would really like to improve her photo taking techniques. So I have joined up to see if you guys can help me work a miracle.

Thanks everyone for warm welcome, you would think after three kids i would be a great protrait photographer at least but it is amazing how i can get three kids to look in so many different directions at once and not one of those directions is at the camera. If there was a prize to not get three kids to look at the camera at the same time i would win it hands down no one else would have a chance.

Hi Josephine and welcome to the site.

I was the same as yourself, no, not the stay-at-home mother of three, but trying to get my own 3 lads to sit still. After a while I resigned to the fact that they weren’t going to, and I’ve got some of my best photographs of them since. One is printed to A2 and hangs proudly on my sittingroom wall. Let them be themselves and their character will ooze out and give you a photograph full of energy.

    Lesson #1: Complete
Exercise: Go take photographs and pin them up here!!
    Alan.

    Hi Josephine

another stay at home mother here but I have just the one and she is a busy little woman and its very hard to get her to stay still so I won’t even begin to imagine with three. I posted a pic of my little girl in People and here she is https://www.photographyireland.net/viewtopic.php?t=11907

Welcome Josephine and looking forward to seeing photographs of your three. Its an exciting time now for photographs with Christmas only 4 weeks away.

    Hi again Josephine

thanks a million and come on and share your little darlings. Children are the most exciting people to photograph I think.

Is there a camera club near you maybe in Ennis? I have joined one in Limerick and am learning loads.

thanks guys, Helen I dont know about the camera club in Ennis, I should look into it but to be honest I am a little stapped for time, I am just about getting enough time to check this website at the minute. I will see what i can find out, I am not that far from limerick so if there is nothing in ennis I could try there.

If you want any info you can pm me and I can let you know when the club in Limerick is starting back in the New Year.

I can imagine with three children its hard to get five minutes to yourself. My little one has been sick the past few days and is stuck to me like glue.
