Time Lapse Photography

Anybody ever do any of this? I saw an add for a device here and was wondering has anyone ever used similar devices or can you do it in camera? I’d like to try and do some shots with this type of set up as I can imagine some good shhoting locations but the price is a bit hefty.
Anyone with any experience like to share their comments?
If it’s a Canon camera you’re using there are two other options open two you, both of which are likely to be cheaper. The first is the Canon Remote Release TC80N3 which B&H have priced at just under the cost of the PClix. And if you have a laptop then the software that ships with the Canon can do this too. If you’re not using Canon, I don’t know, but I’m sure Nikon and other camera manufacturers have similar solutions.
nah its just a panasonic bridge camera. I’ll have a look in the local camera shop. Cheers
The Nikon D200 has a time lapse function, as does the Nikon point in shoot P2.
Time Lapse photography is lots of fun. Even mundane scenes can be rendered interesting.
I have a TC80N3 as Thorsten mentioned… Its great fun messing around with but be aware that even a short time-lapse movie could have 1000 frames… The last one I did with my 20D last year I think was over 600 frames and the movie length was only 36seconds.. when shooting i would advise using a small size and quality jpeg otherwise you’ll find yourself running outta space quickly….! Does anyone know where I can get a programmable trigger for Nikon Cameras for use in Time Lapse?
