The sport of cycling – a passion of mine but with time constraints and family committments one that I can’t commit myself to. Maybe again soon, just a little bit…
Anyway, this is the finish of the Senior event for the Wexford Wheelers Hamper Race sponsored by Saltees Seafood. This is the third running of the event in Wexford and is drawing bigger fields through reputation. It’s run off at a handicap basis from tourers and over 50’s, to veterans (over 40), 3rd catagory & juniors to 1st & 2nd catagory & Pro’s. The prizes are stunning and the event was coordinated in the “Wexford Youths” premises in Wexford with the finish in their carpark.
The winner in this event is a guy by the name of Vinny Kelly. His brother Sean (yes, that one) comes in third. Hope you like it.
BTW Why did I make a colourful sport such as cycling into a B&W conversion? It was a low light day and even the flash didn’t bring out the glory of the spectacle.
