MartinParticipant:-)I like these Baltray boat pics. its a hard boat to get a nice picture of. Foreground interest is very original and works in this one. Hope it prints well for you as its a nice pic. Did you gold tone it?
M
PS: Did you check if there was a note in the bottle?
richiehatchMemberYeah there’s been a few of em hah…? It could probably have its own forum at this stage…! The gold hue is just a result of my RAW processing… I have a severe problem when it comes to warming up images shot at sunrise… maybe its because I am always freezing when taking them…? You wouldn’t believe it but that bottle was still corked and about 3/4’s full. TBH I found it a wee bit further up the beach and brought it with me for some foreground interest. It sorta looks a bit placed i think.
Thanks for the comment

mrnevin2001ParticipantI seldom comment on anything on this website, but this image is excellent, good composition, lead in, it has a theme to it, nice mood, well done.
RodcunhaParticipantDamn Richie you even carried the bottle for the foreground interest!!!!!!!! LOL
I really like this one Richie!
Cheers,
Rod
richiehatchMemberCheers Rod and Mr Nevin… that bottle is now a permanent part of my camera bag..!

PeteMcDMemberLove it. Foreground interest is great, as has been said. I think it works.
I like the silky water from the slightly dragged shutter. The tones are v good. And the overall mood is soft and tranquil, yet has an underlying mystery that is asking for more pondering. It could be from a time gone by..
A ‘hang ‘er on the wall’ for sure.
